Thank you to everyone who came out to yesterday's General Body Meeting! We are so excited kick off this fall semester strong!
Starting next week, all of our projects will start meeting. We have 5 recurring projects: Aviation Vehicle Design (AVD), Quadcopter Design, Rocket Design, Glider Design, and Hovercraft Design. All of our recurring projects are beginner friendly, and will teach you all the necessary skills from the ground up. All recurring projects have two duplicated meetings a week. This means that in any one week you are only expected to attend one of the two listed meeting times.
On top of that, we have one experimental project: the Blimp Project, where we will assemble a team to research, design, fabricate, and fly a small scale blimp! And we also have one competition project: Design-Build-Fly (DBF), where you will be designing an RC aircraft to compete in an international competition against universities from across the globe!
Ready to join one of our projects? Head over to to join those project's channels on Discord, and show you're interested by completing the sign-up form available on our Linktree
On top of kicking off our 7 projects, we're also starting the semester with 2 events! The first is a Pickleball Fundraising Tournament on Friday, September 13th. Sign up here! Our second event is our Boardwalk Bowling Social on Thursday September 19th. This was our most popular social last year, so we're bringing it back! A $3 reservation fee is required to reserve your spot, but lanes and shoes will be covered by the club. Register here and come out to have a great time!
Finally, we have a couple great opportunities available to our members. We have our Lockheed Martin Mentorship Program, where you can apply to be paired with a current Lockheed Martin engineer as a mentor. If you're interested, apply here by Friday, September 13th. Additionally, we have a couple openings within our organization. Our Sponsorship Committee, Events Committee, and Media Committee are looking for more members! Interested in stepping into a role with the largest engineering club on campus? Consider joining one of our committees!
We've got so much to offer you all this year, and we are beyond excited to get started!
